Mike Stone
Mike Stone opened Absolute K-9 Training Inc in April of 1994 and runs it with his wife Toni. His business has prospered and grown greatly since then. The two make an excellent team, combining not only great skills with canines, but also a spectacular way with the public.

Mike Stone is a certified trainer in the US, as well as Germany and England. Not only is Mike certified in obedience and protection training but he is also a certified kennel technician and police dog trainer. As an instructor at a dog training school, Mike decided to make training dogs a career and opened his own company. Three facilities and almost eight years later, Absolute K-9 Training Inc is the most successful dog training company in all of San Diego.

San Diego loves Absolute K9 Training. Mr. Stone was asked by KCBQ to start his own radio show giving the listening audience help with their pets via the air waves. The show has grown into a two man show with both Mike Stone and Dr. John Boyd of Pacific Pet Care in Delmar. The radio show is called Pets and Vets and is on Saturdays on KCBQ 1170am. Mike also works closely with local radio host Rick Roberts of KFMB 760. Rick has Mike train his Shepherd and frequently has him on his show to talk dog training. From Ryan Klesko of the Padres to Charger player LaDainian Tomlinson, Mike has earned a reputation in San Diego for being not only the best dog trainer but also the most responsible and helpful trainer out there.

One of Mike's greatest accomplishments is that he trained the first ever female American Bulldog (Banuelos' Moxie Make My Day) in the history of the breed to a Schutzhund three title. For those that do not know what the sport of Schutzhund is or the amount of hard work that must go into it, please see out Schutzhund page. Currently Mike is training Moxie's daughter Alabama in Schutzhund and hopes to take her to the same top level her mom went to. Mike is also currently helping other dog hobbyist reach their goals in the sport of Schutzhund with their dogs.

Toni Stone
Toni brings a whole other aspect to Absolute K-9 Training. It is true that all of her training ability was given to her by Mike, but Toni was no stranger when it came to dogs. When Toni was the young age of twelve, she had her first experience with dogs by becoming a dog groomer. Grooming took her most of the way through high school until she certified herself as a veterinarian assistant and then worked for a few vets. After the vet experiences she then got hired on at a very popular boarding facility and soon they had her helping manage after a few months.

Although she loves obedience training and titling her dogs, her real love is for showing. Toni has championed and helped champion a few different breeds for both the AKC and the ABA. She has won National Specialty best female in show with Mike's American Bulldog Moxie and has many more up and coming champions she plans on adding to her list. One of the best experiences Toni speaks of is when she got to take a clients Labrador "Hunter" to an Animal Planet filming. It was a part for the dog to reenact a scene where he saves the family from a tornado. It was an excellent performance by both dog and handler. FOX 6 News approached Toni to help start a segment in the mornings on the news called Pet Academy. Going into peoples homes and helping them fix whatever behavior problems their pets might have. The segment has become a huge success on Fox in the morning.

For the past three years, the San Diego Humane Society has asked Toni and Absolute K-9 Training to set up their famous agility course to help promote their annual walk for animals. Every year Toni has been asked, she finds it a pleasure and honor to help the wonderful organization. Not to mention the fun she has running around with the dogs on the agility course. Most all the clients at Absolute K9 Training work closely with Toni and ask for her help and guidance with anything from training, to dog food nutrition as well as their pets health. As most people know Mrs. Stone has no problem offering her opinion and helping people out with their pets. It is true she loves what she does!
